Cr Steve Abboushi is the Mayor of the City of Melton, one of Australia’s fastest-growing municipalities. First elected to Council in 2016, he has served three consecutive terms, including as Deputy Mayor in 2019–20 and 2023–24. A passionate advocate for his community, he is committed to ensuring Melton’s growth is supported by essential infrastructure, improved transport, quality education, and vibrant community facilities. With a background in youth work and community volunteering, Mayor Abboushi brings a strong focus on inclusion, opportunity, and long-term planning to the NGAA Strategic Advisory Committee.
