The NGAA Federal Meeting is a cornerstone event in the National Growth Areas Alliance advocacy calendar.
Each year, an NGAA delegation of mayors, councillors and senior officers travels to Canberra to participate in a program of targeted meetings with Federal ministers, MPs and key national stakeholders. The day provides a critical opportunity to present a unified national voice for Australia’s growth areas, grounded in evidence and local experience.
The 2026 Federal Meeting will focus on the policy settings, funding frameworks and partnerships required to support the delivery of housing, infrastructure and liveable communities in Australia’s fastest‑growing urban regions. Delegates will engage directly with decision‑makers to reinforce the national significance of growth areas and advocate for practical, solutions‑focused outcomes.
Elected members and senior executives from NGAA member and associate councils, including mayors, councillors and CEOs.
Further details on the program, meeting schedule and logistics will be provided to registered delegates closer to the event.
